We noticed this evening after returning from work a few of our neighbors rubbish doors are missing. We checked with our immediate neighbor Carol whether she had noticed her door was missing. Well she didn’t realize it at all. Honestly I don’t know what could be the motive for one to come and steal this aluminum door as it has no value. Could it be as a replacement for other lost units? Or could it be a simple method to gain access into our Lagoon homes during the day. I better go with the worst option, GAIN ACCESS!!!!. I think the security issue at the Lagoon is desperately needed especially with the coming holidays around the corner. Dear Lagooners pls ensure your electric meters are locked and rubbish doors closed with the latched secured. Being friendly helps you to build a trusting and respectful relationship with your neighbours.  Greet your neighbours whenever you see them, drop by to talk with them, offer to help with raking leaves, rubbish etc – these friendly actions will be greatly appreciated and reciprocated.  Make sure to give them your phone number in case of an emergency.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;     &lt;h3 style="margin-top: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. Keep Your Place Clean&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt; Your relationship with your neighbours can be affected by how your home looks, inside and outside.  Do not let the grass grow too long, make sure to rake the leaves, and shovel the snow off the driveway and sidewalk.  Also be sure to keep furniture inside, clean up outside litter, follow garbage &amp;amp; recycling collection schedules, and keep beer bottles out of sight.  Your neighbours will notice how you maintain your property and belongings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;     &lt;h3 style="margin-top: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3. Be Considerate of Neighbours&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt; Neighbours may be offended by inappropriate language, drinking alcoholic beverages outside, or displaying too much physical closeness in plain view.  Consider what you would expect as appropriate behaviour from your neighbours. Ensure that you have appropriate room in the driveway to park your car and your roommates’ cars.  Do not block the sidewalk or fire hydrants when parking your car and do not park on your neighbour’s lawn. Imagine how you would like it if you were awoken at night to loud music being played next door. You can be fined for excessive noise such as singing, yelling, playing loud music, slamming doors, and honking your car horn, at any hour of the day.  Keep noise to a considerate level and close your doors and windows so that others around you will not be bothered.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt; &lt;/p&gt;     &lt;h3 style="margin-top: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;6. Party Responsibly&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/h3&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;If you plan on having a party at your place, let your neighbours know of your plans beforehand.  If your neighbours know the reason for the increased noise level, they might understand and tolerate it more.  Keep the party inside so as not to disturb neighbours trying to sleep.  Inform your neighbours that should the noise become intolerable, to come by and let you know before they contact a bylaw officer.  Ensure there is enough space for your friends to park their cars and do not block driveways or sidewalks.  Handle those who have had too much to drink with great attention, so they do not disturb neighbours with their inebriated actions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;     &lt;p style="margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;     &lt;h3 style="margin-top: 0pt;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;7. Do not get involved in heated arguments with neighbours; it will not help the situation. Overall their pricing will different few thoudsand only...and personally go look for their man work, if u satisfy than sign with them, request every detail from them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I select Ideal Home, due to i saw their work on tai lou mike house, mike is nice person always welcome lagooner to visit him(you can find he took some nice picture from his sweet home post in the previous month blog). And of course the price is reasonable and every single detail are listed on the quotation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some contractor just told...i can give u lowest cheaper, but u dun ask how i do when he said that...i will reject the contractor already. What brick to use, how many inch of the pipe, what sand to use, sand - yellow sand, sea sand etc. different sand different use, sea sand will be worst, red brick, first grade is fully red color, 2nd grade red brick you can see in middle is white...so did the contractor told u which grade of brick using? if u just cover the fencing, you need to put some bean else the  fencing change to brick wall, the foundation will not stable, did the contractor told you?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As I know some owner are not been telling, and owner later find out by other contractor told them....so judge yourself...personnel go visit their work, and talk clear to them no hidden cost.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You are the customer, you paid the money, you got the choice to choose who serve your, take your little time to find out and compare. Remember listed down detail, no hidden cost, and prepare extra 15-20% reno fee, you might change some idea when half way done, or some you need to add in on. We would like to highlight to all that the safety of the area may be at risk. Since our home was under renovation we had noticed on 2 occasions where strangers walking at the back lanes. We assumed it to be some foreign workers but turned out to be some local youngsters from nearby. These youngsters come on bikes and hangout at the park.&lt;br /&gt;Since all of us have spent so much on our homes, taxes and maintenance, I strongly feel that the utility of the Lagoon such as the park is mainly designed for the purpose of all of us to use. We noticed that more and more people are starting to come in and utilize the park. Driving their cars and bikes on the turfs and littering.
