Kota Permai Golf Resort
Hi guys...long time no posting from me. So finally went to see the Kota Permai Golf Resort (Voted best resort in Malaysia for 3 consecutive years!) and wanted to activate the membership (Yes i have not activate my membership). To my surprise, there are a few "hiccups" and hence i decided to post this once and for all to all members here:
- 2 swimming pools (very nice ones)
- 2 tennis courts (outdoor, and it is multi purpose, with 2 goal posts and basketball tiang, don't like it)
- Badminton courts
- Gym
- Yoga room
- relax rooms
- restaurants
- cafes
- driving range and practice corner
- squash courts
- etc.... (No time to walk completely)
The main entrance
The 2 multi purpose tennis courts - above car parks
2) Now, upon going into the office for my activation, this is where surprises come in:
First, you need to fill up at least 7 forms. Yes 7 forms. And you need 4 photos (Plus a lot of photocopy documents you need, and marriage certificate if you are maaried and want your wife/husband, children to use this club). Also, if your house is jointly bought by you and your friends, dad, mum, aunt, cousins, Ah Kau, Muthu, etc, all of them need to sign on one of the forms for YOU to activate YOUR account. (Remember, other than your children, wife/husband ; Friends, etc cannot share this membership. One membership for one person only, and his/her immediate family lah) .Upon activation, a temporary pass/card will be given and you can use right away, and the real membership card will arrive about 2 months later.
And the payment - yes. Please bear in mind a RM1000 deposit will be collected (Cheque, no cash. If credit card additional 2%) This is refundable when you quit the club.
And, every month it is RM 73.50, and not RM 70. And the club will collect every quarter (3 months). So that is RM 220.50 every 3 months. Don't bring the money to the club. They won't accept. UOB bank will come and look for you. And you don't need to open an account with them (UOB). Sounds complicated? I dunno every 3 months we pay by cheque, or bank in or how? Coz the Club dont take our cash/credit card and we don't need to open an account at UOB. Hmmmmmm
3) Lastly, the real shocker: Only you as a member can use the facility. Other than your wife/husband or your kids below 18 years old, any friends or even your dad/mom will have to pay RM 10.50 per session per equipment!!!!! I asked the lady i dunno any members here, and i cannot play badminton or tennis alone, so if i bring 3-4 friends all need to pay? the answer is a firm YES, each have to pay RM10.50 each. If swimming + Tennis then RM 21 each!!!!
So, now you know.....either all of you quickly join and activate the membership, or else, i would prefer to go Damansara Club for free and play tennis with Punky and my friends.
Signing off. This is the reality of Kota Permai Club.
